Hey kids and welcome back to another Post by everyones favorite bigmouth.
They good news is after 10 and a half straight hours of poker I have $130 instead of $10. The bad news is I missed a work-out, due to a ridiculous sandstorm that refuses to leave, got whipped on week two of fantasy football (0-2), and got into it with a friend.
You are stupid this, I know everything that...big dumb argument due to a short fuse and even shorter chip stack.
I know I did the good news already but there is more. After three hours of constant arguing and yelling at a man I really respect, we did what men do. We got it out of our system, we shook hands and no hard feelings.
Enough about my short fuse.
I have started a new show. Californication on showtime. Another one of those shows I really enjoy but can't reccommend to anybody. David Dechovny is great. It shows the turmoil of a writer taken out of his element and thrown into a new world he pretty much hates. Reminds me of Bag of Bones by Stephen King.
For you George R R Martin fans...HBO has bought the rights to Game of Thrones. Now this all atarted back in 2007 but thanks to those darn writers and their strike... nothing ever came of it. However they have resently started working things out again. Apparently it is a toss up for HBO between GRRM's series and a King Arthur story. Really... King Arthur is about the most over told fantasy story. How is that even a choice.
Of course any of you that have read the books and/or watched any show by HBO know that it will turn out to be anything but a G-rated series. They did, I think, a fantastic job on their two season Rome adatation, which gives me inspiring hope.
Meloncholy strikes. My Nephews and Neices are growing up, which stinks, my favorite movie line buddy is moving to a far away land, my little brother is growin all up and being responsible(against all my teachings I might add) and my car is rotting in the soon to be frozen wasteland that is Colorado.
Oh well...life keeps a moving like it or not.
I think Mama finished her kitchen so everyone should call and congrats her.
Just so everyone knows, I am fine and the reason I hung up on Kellie, sorry sis, is because of the sandstorm that we have been having...not any kind of war distaster or anything crazy.

I do so admire the ability men have to have it out, shake hands and be done with it. Sounds like tensions are bound to run high sometimes when you are all stuck together in a sand storm. Hard to believe you have a short fuse; you come from such a calm quiet family. :)
I didn't realize they were talking about making the books into movies. But how, he hasn't even finished the series. And each of the books is hugely complicated. I don't suppose they will be able to really do it justice, but you can bet I will still watch it.

Boys, men . . they're all the same. I don't understand all that wrestling, punching, bad mouthing etc but I'm glad I have a basement big enough to handle it. Luckily they are all friends at the end of the day - just like you and your buddy.
Mom told me about the sand/mud storm. It would be awesome to see (you should do a Discovery Channel episode), maybe not so awesome to live through.
All the book, HBO stuff - I'm lost. Unless it airs on Food Network I'm pretty much clueless :D

I mentioned to Dragon about the book turning into a movie and he sounded interested. I haven't read any of the books so I wouldn't know if they did a good job or not. But if the books are as complicated as Kara says they are then a 2 to 3 hour movie probably couldn't do it justice. I guess we'll just have to see.
Sounds like you are having all kinds of fun - sandstorms, fights, playing cards. I love to hear your "blah blah". I'm having a hard time commenting because I can't go back over your post - I just might have to fix that problem.

John. have fun in the sand. this is probably not your first storm. nor will it be the last. i think i got to 11 by the time i came home. and to bad you wont get any of that snow there were you be. Sulymania was fun with 6 feet of white stuff stopping an 1114 hummer. not cool.
